Summary

Social services is more than just acquiring knowledge and certificates or experience. People have to have the heart and love for it. As a former intervention specialist and a parent care specialist I have acquired all the skills needed and have some good knowledge but my favorite parts of the jobs were working to build a beautiful rapport with my clients and showing them support in their moments of crisis. In social services you also learn that every client is so distinct and there is always something new to learn due to clients, their life experiences and back ground, not one interaction is the same.
