• Handles all incoming calls for the emergency department
• Promptly answers, screens, and process medical service requests
• Coordinate the transfer of information to agencies and facilitates in support of timely and safe patient discharges
• Makes phone calls to patient care facilities in search of appropriate placement options for patient transfer
• Data entry, telephone and email communication and record keeping
• Input orders as requested by physician
• Responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms
• Handles all incoming calls for the emergency department
• Performs registration, insurance processing, and discharge planning
• Call volume 40-50 calls a day for various emergency room inquiries
• Promptly answers, screens, and process medical service requests and telephone inquiries with strict adherence to confidentiality agreements and policies and procedures
• Demonstrates flexibility in providing coverage
• Inputs orders as requested by physician
