I have worked on a commercial fishing vessel for 23 years, my job as a Captain entitles were working safely and effectively in fast-paced environments, resolving/fixing problems mechanically or electronically, working long hours, hiring crew, arranging flights, contracts, supply food for three months, communicating with biologist and other fishing vessels, working in any weather conditions and keeping a positive energy.
A little about my vessel and operation, I have 32ft stern picker with 3-4 deckhands, we can cath in 24 hours five thousand pounds to eighten thousand pounds of sockeye salmon, end of our season our catch can be around 100,000 to 300,000 pounds. I truly enjoy it but I am looking forward to having a job where I can be close to home in Utah.
My task as a bartender was serving drinks, cleaning, taking food orders, making a happy environment for customers. Would also take part in setting up for functions, weddings and privet party's.
Snow making/ Hill Crew I worked 6 days a week 12 hours a day for three months our job was making snow and shaping the snow for the Nordic ski jumps, moguls, freestyle park and ski jumps. After the snow making season our hours would be 8am-5pm, we would continue maintaining the the ski jumps and setting up events for the Olympic Athletes.
