Core Responsibilities

• Security & Supervision: Supervising inmates in housing, dining, and work areas; conducting frequent security checks of cells, perimeter, locks, and buildings.
• Safety & Control: Using appropriate levels of force (including physical restraint) to handle combative or volatile inmates and responding to emergency situations.
• Intake & Release: Processing individuals arriving from court or law enforcement, including searching for contraband, documenting personal property, and photographing/fingerprinting.
• Documentation & Reporting: Writing daily reports regarding incidents, inmate movements, and behavioral changes.
• Transport & Movement: Escorting inmates to court, medical appointments, or other facilities, maintaining strict security during transport.
