Summary

I graduated with an Associates Degree in nursing from Arizona Western College on December 11, 2014. For two years, in the nursing program, I have done my clinicals in many areas of Yuma Regional Medical Center, which include: the cardiac floor, Intensive Care Unit, pediatric floor, LDRP and medical surgical, where I have encountered and cared for a variety of patients. I have also spent some time out in the community at Community Bridges, where I assisted with groups where we discussed self-esteem, coping mechanisms and other topics that they could incorporate in their daily lives. I also have aided the school nurse at Desert Mesa Elementary School, where I assisted with a tube feeding as well as used my assessment skills and communication skills with the children that came into the nurses office. My experience during my time as a student has broaden my view of nursing and with a positive attitude, I am interested in all areas that nursing has to offer.
