Gainesville

Summary

I have always been passionate about working with young children and inspiring the love of learning in all children. I worked as a preschool teacher for several years in the Gainesville area and, most recently, as a ESE paraprofessional at Glen Springs Elementary and Sidney Lanier. At Glen Springs I worked with an ESE student in a regular education classroom, supporting the student with the student's behavioral and academic challenges. At Sidney Lanier I gained experience working in various classroom throughout the campus on both the North Side (students with more functional challenges) and the South Side (students with primarily behavioral challenges). I spent last year as a paraprofessional working in a classroom with several students who were nonverbal and autistic, I found working in that classroom very rewarding and I enjoyed watching the students make progress with their social and communication skills. Currently, I am seeking to use my knowledge and experience to pursue my teaching certification and grow professionally.
