Work History
Income Specialist
Baltimore City Department of Human Service
07.2007 - 03.2025
Since 2007, I have worked with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services / Family Income Specialist. This included the SNAP benefit program, cash assistance and MEDICAID for adults, children and family.
Most recently I worked both in E&E for non-modified adjusted income, aka MAGI cases (modified adjusted gross income), and the Maryland Health Connection for MAGI.
Over 500 cases of Long-Term Care, or LTC MEDICAID applications have been assigned to me during my time with the state of Maryland. I know firsthand how complex it can get.
Many cases in which the customer was without the proper medical coverage, I was able to assist and put them on the right track. This also involved working alongside some of the MEDICARE programs.
There is also the QMB and SLMB MEDICAID programs in which I was involved in.
Additionally, in connection with MD EHC (CTAD), I was able to activate over a thousand applications.
