Working at Aldi includes many responsibilities that are to be done in a fast, efficient manner and often at the same time.

These responsibilities include:

• Cashiering
• Stocking inventory
• Organizing and keeping store clean
• Providing customer service
• Shopping grocery orders for customers

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including specialty drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes and americanos. As well as various types of tea, lemonade and pastries on the coffee truck.
• Recommended drinks based on solid understanding of individual customer needs and preferences.
• Explained beverage preparation and offered samples to help customers choose ideal items.
• Maintained and operated espresso machines, commercial coffee brewers, and other equipment in order to create varies types of coffee and tea.
• Controlled line and crowd with quick, efficient service.

Switched throughout most of these positions almost every day. I learned how to do everything so I went where I was needed most depending on what was going on day to day.

Barista:

• Experience taking a customers order and cashing them out, then making their order
• Made espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, flavored coffees (hot or iced), refreshers, smoothies, hot chocolate and toasted bagels or pastries

Line Cook:

• Cooked burgers, hotdogs, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, pizza, french fries, mozzarella sticks etc to put in the window for customers to grab

Deli Worker:

• Made loaded baked potatoes, the special of the day, served soup and made various deli sandwiches to order for customers

Cashier:

• Experience using the register, calculating customers total, cashing in discounts or gift cards and cashing them out, as well as cashing out the register at the end of a shift

• Assess the product needs during service and maintain par levels
• Restock and arrange food in servery/dining hall
• Clean and break down servery/dining hall
• Serve food and beverages at special events/catered functions
• Occasionally (as line server): Greet and explain the menu options and serve the customers
