I am a walk organizer, volunteer and fundraiser for the Children's Tumor Foundation (a non-profit charity). My family and I attended our first walk in 2014 and have since organized 5 walks for the greater Houston area. Our walk raises money to help find a cure for the genetic condition Neurofibromatosis (NF). In total, our walk has raised over $300,000 for the foundation.
I volunteer as a women's bible study leader and Sunday school teacher for my church and have done so for the past 8 years.
Fitness has always been a part of my life beginning with basketball which I played year round from the age of 7-18. I joined my first gym after graduating college and fell in love with group fitness and yoga. I then became very passionate about healthy living and cooking. My passion increased once becoming a mom and making the decision to stay home and raise our family. I started a food blog focusing on nutritious recipes and the value of family involvement in meal preparation.
