Received the Wellington Bartel Helping Hands award 2024 by the Concord Fire Department for providing life saving interventions to a patient experiencing an airway obstruction that resulted in cardiac arrest. Delivered quality care that exceeded requirements while working in conjunction with the Concord Fire Department. Due to prompt recognition of the situation and immediate initiation of effective CPR, and the use of an automatic external defibrillator, the patient experienced a positive outcome and did come back to the facility to receive rehabilitation services a year later.
Stroke Program Development
Successfully implemented innovative care protocols, policies, procedures, and educational programs for staff and the community. This resulting in improved patient outcomes and Lakes Region General Hospital receiving the Acute Stroke Ready Certification.
