Marissa Martin

Summary

Hello, my name is Marissa (aka Rissa, Ris, Reesa, Riza, Ross) Growing up I studied floorplans for apartments and tiny homes just for fun, never thinking anything would come of it, so I went to Animal Behavioral College, graduated and worked with animals for 8 years, four of which were in an Emergency Veterinary Hospital. One of my good friends knew I was interested in woodworking and suggested Habitat for Humanity in Charlotte, NC. I am now a skilled construction worker with two years of hands-on experience specializing in residential buildings from foundation to finish. I've personally built and finished over a dozen homes in the last two years and helped with the building of 39 homes in one week during the Carter Work Project. Because of my time as an Americorps with Habitat, I was inspired to continue exploring construction opportunities, leading me to entering drafting school and apply with Habitat.
