- Company Overview: The center is JCIA accredited and regulated by Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) for maintaining radiation safety and standards
- The Radiation facility treats wide variety of solid and hematological malignancies both in adults & pediatrics and provides precision radiation not only to the twin city of Islamabad-Rawalpindi but also the North-Eastern regions with average of 80-90 patients treated per day, 6 days a week, on its two LINACs' with other four consultants, backed by a team of five medical physicists and a battery of young radiation technologists
- Extensively involved in providing care to newly diagnosed and follow up cases of cancer patients using newer strategies, immunotherapy, targeted treatments, and well versed in managing them using chemotherapy, hormones and precision radiation techniques as well as gynae brachytherapy
- Head of Radiation Oncology (2019-20): Served as the administrative head, of a busy radiation facility, providing state of the art precision radiotherapy (IMRT, SIB-IMRT, IGRT) and 3D-CRT (conformal radiotherapy) to the bulk of adult solid cancers and hematological malignancies
- Played an integral part in installation of various equipment i.e
- Ir192 HDR brachytherapy unit (Varisource), and Cannon 4D CT Simulator during my tenure
- Introduced basis of radiation contouring GTVs, CTVs and expanding PTVs, plan verification and executions, ensured checks & QA QC prior to smooth and safe delivery of precision radiotherapy and ensured IMRT evolved as a habit
- Initiated and implemented procedures and processes involved in brachytherapy, as well as introduced TBI as conditioning regimen for BMT in the region
- Initiated and propagated Hospital vide Multi-disciplinary Tumour Board meetings; Head & Neck and SA, Breast tumour board, GI MDTB, General MDTB and participate in all, including the Hepato-biliary MDTB meetings
- Departments lead in JCIA accreditation 2018, re-accreditation in 2020 and again in 2023
- Head the Radiation Oncology Team, during CRISES and subsequent Phase of Pandemic COVID19 in 2020; Radiation Oncology services remained open throughout the year while the entire country's' services were on hold and catered the entire load of the twin city
