Nothing excites me more than using the latest technologies (especially global databases) to better understand genomes and their expression in present people to reduce or even eradicate future generational issues. I have shadowed microbiologists in a food safety lab and constructed a mock-proposal and carried out research involving bacteriophage and antibiotic resistant bacteria. In both of these settings I brought a positive attitude in learning new skills that I hope to bring to future career prospects.
I have also helped organize several events at the University of Maine at Farington related to racial education.
Tutoring for statistics, psychology, english, anthropology, and some biology courses by appointment or drop-by for fellow students of the University.
Notes from classes I was enrolled in were submitted through the Learning Assistance Center for fellow students of the course.
I shadowed the microbiologists at Perigo Nutritionals, who tested the safety of the company’s products from mutagens; this was done through PCR trials and basic petri dish growth plates.
