Work History
Student Researcher at Kamaha Lab
UCLA Physics And Astronomy
06.2022 - Current
Designed dual-phase xenon detector and created its CAD drawing (including TPC, condensing system, and electrical components) under supervision of Prof. Kamaha
Analyzed effect of detector geometry and accumulation of free charges in TPC on electric field by solving Nonlinear Poisson's equation numerically with FEniCS. Experimented with both 2D and 3D mesh, and for over 4 versions each
Analyzed differential event rate of WIMP-nucleon scattering interaction under different response functions, effective Lagrangian/Hamiltonian, and astronomical inputs with DMformfactor and WimPyDD, 2 EFT (Effective Field Theory) based coding packages, and compared equations and numerical methods of these packages
IBM Quantum Explorer Participant
IBM
06.2023 - Current
Learn theories of quantum information and quantum computation, such as mathematical descriptions of quantum systems, quantum algorithms, and quantum error correction
Create and run quantum circuits, manipulate quantum systems, and write quantum algorithms using Qiskit, a Python package for quantum computation
Engage with quantum information enthusiasts around the world throughout program
Independet Research With Professor Jay Hauser
UCLA Physics And Astronomy
01.2023 - 05.2023
Read webpages, articles, and papers about matter-antimatter asymmetry, including contents about baryogenesis, leptogenesis, and sphalerons
Meet weekly with professor Jay Hauser to discuss questions about reading materials
Synthesize different models of baryogenesis and connect with evolution of early universe
