Description :

Humana Inc. headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is a leading health care company that offers a wide range of insurance products and health wellness services, Humana provides Medicare Advantage Plans and Prescription drug coverage to more than 10 million members throughout the US.

The main objective of this project shared data repository is to

capture Members, Customer, Product and claims. Data is coming

from the various sources like Mainframe, Sql servers etc. which will

be loaded into EDW based on the different frequencies as per the

requirement. The entire ETL process consists of source systems,

staging area, data warehouse and Datamart (Top to down approach)

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with teams to gather requirement needs and deliver data warehouse solutions
• Closely works with architects to understand the New modern data eco system and document the same
• Work on the ICD (Interface Control Document) and that includes details about the data transfer method, message format, field definitions, security Measures, service level agreements and rules of communication between two systems.
• Created technical design document (e.g., Dataflow Diagram, mapping document. etc.) for application maintenance
• Extract Transform and load medical claims data into Data warehouse using Oracle PL/Sql Scripts
• Performance tuning was done at the functional level and map level. used relational SQL wherever possible to minimize the data transfer over the network
• Effectively used Informatica parameter files for defining mapping variables, workflow variables, FTP connections and relational connections
