Projects

  • Non-Traditional Communication Device (CIA-Sponsored) : Developed a secure, portable communication device designed to ensure confidential communication without reliance on centralized infrastructure. The device features advanced encryption for data protection, file-sharing capability, and a compact, key fob-sized design with a battery and button.
  • Frequency-to-Voltage Conversion and LED Display Project: Worked on a project to demonstrate frequency-to-voltage conversion using the LM331 Integrated Circuit (IC), where different input frequencies were used to control a 7-segment display. The frequency from a waveform generator was converted into a corresponding voltage, and based on this voltage, one of seven LEDs lit up to display the numbers 1 through 7 on a 7-segment display. The project involved configuring an ADC, BCD decoder, and various resistors to create a functioning circuit, with practical applications in signal conversion and display technology.
  • Power System Analysis:The project involved constructing a detailed one-line diagram using the SKM software and performing various power system studies, including short circuit and load flow analysis. Key tasks included evaluating 3-phase and single-line-to-ground fault currents, determining power factor and reactive power flows, and analyzing the impact of adding a capacitor bank on system performance. The project also included equipment evaluation to identify overstressed panels and explored both utility and generator-fed operation scenarios to ensure system reliability. This experience enhanced my proficiency in power systems engineering, fault analysis, and the use of SKM tools for real-world electrical infrastructure modeling.
