Muneerah Akmel

As an SGA apprentice, I worked in the Student Life department. While I was there I learned from my fellow apprentices and senators. I spent a lot of time with my mentor and participated in various events on campus. I was able to become a senator but I resigned shortly after. Before I resigned, I was also working on a resolution on implementing pest control in dormitories on campus.

I helped with handing out T-shirts to people who were coming to homecoming court at Marshall University.

• Proactively acknowledged, greeted, and assisted customers in the store

• Merchandised and stocked constantly

• Maintained working knowledge of the store’s policies and procedures

• Organized and cleaned the store during downtime

• Handled cash and credit card transactions

• Managed the register by POS guidelines

• Boosted fundraising efforts, securing valuable donations through a targeted campaign called Coins For Cause.
