As a floorhand i assisted the rig floor by picking up the pipe, picking up rods, pump change-outs, trip pipe, run tubing board, assist driller, hammer, setup pump, rigging up, rigging down. Communicated operational issues and changes to supervisor on a regular basis.

Employed a wide variety of hand and power tools including hoists, drills, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices.

• I assisted in receiving and transporting materials and supplies, roustabouts also load and offload equipment and ensure proper installation
• This included setting and welding pipes, installing engines for drills and pumps, and setting flow lines in collaboration with other roustabouts.
• Conducting inspections of this equipment prior to and during extraction activities to ensure proper function.
• As a roustabout I often conducted repairs on pumps and related equipment to ensure a steady flow of oil or gas and prevent leaks and other hazards. This required excellent attention to detail to identify issues, and often roustabouts need to work in cramped underground or elevated areas to conduct emergency repairs with hand and power tools while maintaining safety and preventing fires or equipment failure.

• Transport materials to work sites and properly store them.
• Operating machinery to move pallets from ships to the deck of the rig, unloading materials from deliveries, and ensuring that they are securely stowed on the rig. I played a part in operating heavy machinery to place materials where they need to go.
