I was the night shift coordinator.  i always came in, was reliable and did not call in sick. 50 bed unit total and I was in charge of 25 Veterans and other patients with Dementia and Alzheimer's lock down unit. 

I was nominated by my coworker's and supervisors for both employee of the month and year.  

During our monthly meeting everyone would vote.

The start award i was given,  was for my ideas for volunteer work and then helped run the meetings and coordinate ideas. I was given the star employee of the month.
