In my role as a Contingent Team Member Liaison Specialist, I specialize in overseeing the hiring, management, and performance of contract Registered Nurses (RN’s & LPN’s) & Certified Nursing Assistants at Corewell Health. Continuing, my current role allows me to serve as a liaison between the internal business partners, stakeholders, and external agency staff suppliers to support the critical nursing business needs across Corewell Health West and South.

Key Job Functions:

  • Demonstrates mastery of all day-to-day strategic operational functions including strategic and operational meetings with key client contacts, handling escalations, pay-roll, along with compliance and requisition management.
  • Consults with hiring managers to understand position specific requirements. Ensures timely and accurate posting of positions, applicant review and submission of applicants for hiring manager consideration, within the applicant tracking systems (WorkDay & FieldGlass)
  • Implements many cost savings initiatives by completing continuous market analysis. In addition, I consistently supply reporting on current Agency Staff to operational leaders within the business.
  • Manages over 40 different supplier relationships, which include contract negotiation, VMS training, performance metrics and ongoing engagement. Additional responsibilities included managing involuntary dismissals, performance of contracted staff and customer service.
  • Manages efforts to convert Agency Staff Nurses to employed positions throughout Corewell Health through strategic marketing efforts and outreach. This included email campaigns and phone calls to candidates to inform them of open opportunities in our system. These efforts also benefitted the organization from a financial perspective due to the large cost associated with Agency Staff utilization.
