During my teenage years and even more so now, I always had a special passion for Medical Marijuana and helping others. All my life, I have been around medically handicapped people due to my youngest brothers seizure condition. I have personally seen the impact that Medical Marijuana has made on those around me. Growing up moving every three years all my life as a military brat its allowed me to experience different cultures, many people of different backgrounds which has allowed me to adapt to new situations. With that said, I knew that right out of highschool I wanted to better myself both mentally and physically so I enlisted into the United States Marine Corp immediately. I was ready for the challenge whether it was bootcamp, the school house or fleet life. The military, I believe has set me up for success in more ways than I could imagine it has taught me how to communicate with others on a personal level or professional, being able to follow specific task given in a timely manner properly and striving everyday to excel. When I found out I would be attending school to be a welder for the military I was excited. This new opportunity allowed me to expand math skills and pay closer attention to detail. The mindset I followed was if it was going to be done it will be correct the first time. Eventually, the Marine Corp had other plans, I became a marksmanship coach for the range. This was a big responsibility, every other week I would personally set up and give classes and teach to thousands of Marines over the course of a few months. I loved getting to know the shooters personally which would apply to customers at the dispensary. By doing this I would build a bond with that Marine and trust which in return allowed them to feel confident about shooting. The knowledge and people skills obtained through this opportunity where beneficial. I would collect data from the shooters taught and report back to the command in a speech or PowerPoint, with statistics, critiques and general information. As a range coach I have had hours upon hours studying on off days what Marijuana has to offer, the different strains, terpenes, effects, brands and proper measurements. As a future military veteran (EAS 20240621) I would be able to connect on a personal level. I plan on attending online college utilizing the G.I. Bill to further my education on Medical Marijuana studying Environmental Biology with a primary focus on conservation. In conclusion, based off studying, life experiences and accomplishments I believe I would be a great candidate in the Medicinal Marijuana scene with a lot to offer.
