Hi, I just wanted to tell you a little about myself and what I've been doing in school. I've been involved with a few different clubs that have really shaped my experiences.

DECA Club: It was all about leadership and business, which means a lot of learning related to marketing and finance-even entrepreneurship. It helped me develop skills such as public speaking and networking, which is quite useful.

ACCLA Club: The Academic Cultural & Community Leadership Association has given me an avenue through which I have been able to combine academic growth with cultural awareness and community service. It has offered me a potential opportunity to seek leadership in initiatives that make a difference in the community.

Environment Club: Also, I am very interested in sustainability; so far, it has been fantastic being part of the Environment Club. We organized clean-ups and events that help raise awareness on how to protect the environment better.

International Club: This has been a gratifying avenue to reach out to people from every part of the world and study the diverse cultural backgrounds. Some events are international food festivals, cultural exchanges, and stuff; it has been really fun bringing people together. Ethiopian Club: Also, I am in the Ethiopian club. Through that we just celebrate and share our culture. Just things like discussions and events. That has been interesting-just connecting with my heritage and sharing that with other people.

All of these clubs have really helped me grow, both in terms of time management and learning to work with different groups of people. It has been an overall wonderful experience!

Accomplishments

I’ve been fortunate enough to achieve a few things that I’m proud of. One of my biggest accomplishments was becoming a state champion in volleyball. It was an incredible experience to compete at such a high level, and it really taught me the value of teamwork and perseverance.

On the academic side, I’ve maintained a 3.9 GPA, which reflects my dedication to my studies while balancing extracurriculars. Both of these achievements have shaped me and pushed me to always aim high, both in sports and in the classroom.

  • I have done volunteered at the Gwinnett Humane Society which is a dog shelter. While volunteering at a dog shelter, I spend my time caring for the dogs by walking, feeding, and playing with them to keep them happy and relaxed. I also help with cleaning their kennels and making sure the shelter is well-maintained. During adoption events, I introduce the dogs to potential families and share what I’ve learned about their personalities. It's been a really rewarding experience to help these animals feel comfortable and support them in finding their forever homes.
