Covid 19 Symptoms and Diagnostic Prediction Analysis System

• The project involved the development of symptoms and diagnostic prediction systems to enable patients to get the prediction of what they are going through without going to the hospital., RAD methodology

GENE CO-EXPRESSION ANALYSIS TO IDENTIFY HUB GENES COMMON IN PSORIASIS AND DERMATOMYOSITIS 

• Performed gene coexpression analysis using WGCNA R package to identify groups of genes with similar expression in both psoriasis and dermatomyositis gene expression datasets. Identified the Module of interest based on the significance of the module with respect to the condition calculated by ANOVA. Gene significance and nodal connectivity in the protein protein interaction network was used to rank genes in the module of interest, with the top 10 genes considered as hub genes.

TRANSCRIPTOME ANALYSIS TO REVEAL SHARED LINKS BETWEEN PERIODONTITIS AND DIABETES

• Employing the limma package in R after preprocessing the data discerned the top differentially expressed in three different datasets pertaining to periodontitis. Using the differentially expressed genes common in all the datasets recognized the crosstalk genes that are present in both periodontitis and diabetes. Feature selection on the 38 crosstalk genes was accomplished using Boruta algorithm and Recursive feature selection and SVM classifier was trained and tested on the three datasets which were filtered only to include the feature selected.

RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM FOR MEDICINES 

• Medicine recommendation dataset from Kaggle was used to develop a recommendation system based on the description of the condition and the rating of the medication from different companies. Dataset consisted of approximately 22300 medications which correspond to 51 unique conditions. A function was created which takes in the reason for medication and gives the top 10 best rated medications for the reason.
