Retired School Nurse, with 22 years of nursing experience. Passionate about teaching exercise classes; especially yoga and pilates, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Have been afforded this opportunity through teaching at the YMCA in Austin, as well as a private studio and and Assisted Living Center in Austin.

I have traveled the world over, enjoying learning about different cultures. I especially enjoy hiking during my travels, and belong to an Austin area and Houston area Hiking Club for women, and hike as often as time allows. I have enjoyed volunteering at various food banks, teaching CPR and First Aide skills to both adults and children, and teaching about breast cancer awareness and prevention, cancer awareness and prevention, and nutrition through the American Red Cross and American Heart Association. I am a member of the NSDAR (National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution) and the TSDAR (Texas Society of the DAR), and coordinate and provide service on behalf of the Society in the areas of Patriotism, Historical Education and Historical Preservation. I serve at the Chapter level as the Women's Issues Committee Chairperson.
