Nelya Ake

Was asked by members of the Grammy Museum to participate in a songwriting program to collaborate with other up and coming artists and even further sharpen my songwriting skills. Writing songs from timed prompts that spanned from a song in one week or a song in 10 minutes.

Asked to be a featured vocalist by one of NBC's The Voice casting crew, for one of Los Angeles top singers showcases. I have now performed in 3 showcases in just the past year.

Was asked by the manager of the Grammy Museum education and community engagement to join this program to further my own artist development. This included sharpening my performance tools and adding newer and more effective performance techniques. Additionally, workshopping my original music, to perform it for music executives and producers in an intimate showcase at the Clive Davis theater in downtown Los Angeles.

My original song called "Already Know" charted on US iTunes top 100 for R&B, taking #19 spot on the charts along with The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and other R&B/Soul chart topping songs at the time.
