Fossil/Rock Hunting

Learned of areas that are plentiful in certain rocks/fossils and will go out to collect some as long as they fall within legal jurisdiction. Have found Jurassic dinosaur/plant fossils from the Morrison formation as well as cretaceous dinosaur/plant fossils from the cretaceous Cedar Mountain formation. Discovered previously unknown set of Triassic aged Grallator  tracks within the boundaries of Arches Nation Park. Would also go out and collect semiprecious stones for the use and sale at the Moab Rock Shop.
