Nevin Harwood

During summer of 2024 I assisted KUE (Kilduff underground engineering) on a job sight by providing oversight of tunnel boring for water waste management plant in Redbank New Jersey.

During summer of 2025 I became a paid a paid intern for KUE and helped on the Austin Capital complex construction, drilling a tunnel between two parking garages for politicians. During my time on the site I provided aid by completing daily felid work, retrieving materials, construction management and oversight, record keeping, and tracking with my intern mentor, Ryan O'Connell. During my work over both summers I gained experience in the felid.

• Gained proficiency in company tools and systems for inventory management and reporting.
• Participated in training sessions to develop skills in safety protocols and operational procedures.

• Supported staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.
• Gained valuable experience working within a specific industry, applying learned concepts directly into relevant work situations.

• Monitored pool area for safety hazards, ensuring swift response to emergencies.
• Enforced facility rules and regulations, promoting a safe environment for all patrons.
• Conducted regular safety drills and training sessions for team members.
• Provided first aid and CPR assistance as needed during incidents.
• Communicated effectively with patrons regarding safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborated with colleagues to develop improved emergency response strategies.

During the summer of 2025 I led a crew of 14 on a 10 day trek through Philmont scout ranch, hiking around 13 miles. This trip tested my leadership and strengthened my problem solving and team communication skills.
