As an Operations Specialist for Wallenius Wilhelmsen, I have responsibility for quality cargo
handling, damage prevention and supervision of vessel and terminal operations •
• Focusing on efficient processes and continuous operational improvement
• Ensure subcontractors operate according to our requirements
Ensure that all cargo is discharged and loaded per guidelines set forth by carrier and by our
customers •
Work with planning department to create most efficient and economically sound load plans
for vessel safety and space capacity •
• Report and distribute information before, during and after all operations
• Accountable to ensure budgetary requirements are met
Assist in proper positioning of our equipment in cooperation with vessel planning within
scope of responsibility •
• Assist and engage in all vessel husbandry activity
• Ensure the safety of all employees in accordance with our safety program
Helping create the most economical and efficient work plan with stevedores prior to vessel
operation •
Work with vessel crew to ensure all operation timelines are understood and provide updates
as required as the result of unexpected changes •
Provide accurate information to all customers, management, and third parties at all levels of
the operations on all incoming cargo, damages incurred during the operation, expected
timelines, operational challenges, and productivity

Communicate early on with Port Management on any space requirements needed and agree
upon optimal yard locations for all incoming cargo •
Create after action reports for every operation detailing any challenges faced and
recommend corrective actions to be taken to prevent against repeated failures
