Research Assistant: Loneliness in African American Women

- I was a research assistant for Dr. Carolyn Cutrona. We examined factors that predict loneliness within African American adults. Most notably, we found that beyond the effects of number of friends and family, social support, and frequency of contact with network members, experiences of racial discrimination significantly predicted loneliness.
- I assisted Dr. Carolyn Cutrona on research recruitment and helped with gathering data and data analysis. Created a mock poster for presentation at the Psychology Department Research Day.
