Oversee the day to day operations of the largest mechanical broom depot in the department

• Daily maintenance and upkeep of 50+ mechanical brooms, including and not limited to, fueling, lubricating, checking for damage, wear and tear defects, and any other mechanical issues with the equipment
• Managing and evaluating over 60 sanitation workers; maintaining the absence/lateness logs, City Time pay roll system, Jury Duty, Military, and DIF logs
• As well as sub-managerial evaluations and probationary employee evaluations
• Maintaining an accurate fuel and lubricant log
• Facilitate in the preparation of any and all major and minor street fairs, parades and special events
• Major events included the visit from the Pope, New Year’s Eve ball drops, and the World Pride Parade.

• Operated and maintained collection trucks, front end loaders, mechanical brooms, cut downs, and other various pieces of equipment
• Various assignments, ranging from cleaning, to collection, to recycle, to garage utility duties
• Always performed my duties to the best of my ability, and was always looked upon as an asset by my peers and supervisors.
