Nicholas DeRosa

I have experience with surfing and lacrosse, specifically with helping kids get better at any aspects that they want to improve upon whether it's as a surf instructor or as a semi lacrosse coach. I do well in team collaboration and excel in building relationships with everyone around me while promoting having a good attitude, having fun, and overall enjoying each other's company. I've always enjoyed being around others, and having the opportunity to help kids be themselves is something that I enjoy. Whatever I'm put to, I commit to and do not mess around when it comes to safety, especially that of a child. I used to be in karate class and was one of the bigger kids there, but still being fair and safe was way more of an important mindset than wanting to "win". Letting little kids win against me was always somewhat humiliating but also amazing for them and seeing them smiling and being proud of themselves is something that even I enjoy seeing. I am currently going to Saint John Paul II Academy and I'm in a few AP classes doing the best I can. I have a 4.33 GPA and relatively have A-B grades. When it comes to those around me and my personal life, I take everything seriously but also mix it in with having fun and always finding a way to make any scenario better than it is.
