Work History

Correctional Officer II

Wisconsin Department of Corrections
06.2019 - Current
  • Conducted routine and emergency head counts.
  • Prepared, processed and maintained forms, reports, logs, records, and activity journals.
  • Observed and supervised inmates throughout visits, meal time, recreation, phone calls, and showers.
  • Posts that I held were: tower, pass control, transportation, and currently work in the tool room.
  • While in pass control, I hired both pass clerks and barber staff. Oversaw up to 20 clerks, barbers and inmates receiving haircuts at one time. Ordered for the barber shop which has led to a current task that I took on to ensure that all inmates were offered and given haircuts prior to resuming visits this past summer. For passes, made sure that passes were complete for the following day and contacted departments to resolve conflicting passes. I did emergency passes as needed.
  • While working as a transportation officer, escorted inmates to and from cells, court, hospitals, and medical appointments.
  • In the tool room, keep complete and accurate inventories in the tool room and other areas in the institution. Make sure all tools are signed out and returned.
