Nicholas Floriano

As a shift leader I am responsible for making sure all of the daily closing tasks are complete, all prep stations are prepped for the next day, as well as overseeing the other employees on the floor. At the end of the night I am also required to count the registers and the safe, as well as sending a cash report to cooperate, and cremating a cash deposit to take to the bank each night.

• As a barista shift leader I am responsible for opening or closing the store - some days both- as well as ensuring all baristas are punctual as well as in compliance with dress code regulations
• If there are any conflicts with a certain position, I am able to jump over and assist as well as complete the tasks I was previously working on
• I am responsible for giving breaks, and making sure our daily cleaning checklists are completed before the end of our shift
• On top of all my responsibilities, I am also the shift leader in charge of completing a weekly inventory list of the entire stores products.

• As a Starbucks barista, I was responsible for greeting all customers upon arrival, and ensuring each customer has a positive and pleasant experience
• I was also responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, fully stoked bar and condiment area
• I was mainly a closer, so I was responsible for a lot of preparation for the following crew to open, as well as making sure the entire store is closed before leaving for the day
• I was primarily on bar, making drinks my entire shift and I really enjoyed it
• I furthered my coffee knowledge by completing a Starbucks Academy course through Arizona State University
• Upon completion I received a certificate and was officially recognized as a Coffee Master, as well as a special black apron with 'Coffee Master' embroidered in it
