• Manage operations of Fixed bed Reactors in the RCRL space at STCH..
• Operate Up-flow Resid units.
• Load Reactor's for Fixed bed and Up-flow operations.
• Review and validate data for assigned units.
• Participate in design and construction of Lunar units.
• Commission Flex 105 for soybean renewable project.
• Update existing reactors (Flex 108) for EB Resid.
• Trouble shoot units when technical problems arise on the unit. (Ex: Control vales, regulators, automated valves and feed pumps).
• Accountability for pressure equipment Ex: Pressure Inspections).
• Accountability of critical equipment inspections on units.
• Analyze samples for Sulfur and Nitrogen on Antek software.
• Commissioning of the PSR units in RCRL-ongoing
• MOC
• Work with contract partners when necessary to troubleshoot units and have work performed.
• Interact with STCH site resources to maintain operations (.Ex: Utilities and after hours monitors).
• Performed routine preventive maintenance tasks to sustain technological readiness.

· Provide afterhours monitoring, health, safety, and environmental support for Shell's largest research facility.

· Monitor STCH for emergency conditions.

· Support a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all regulatory, federal, state and company policies.

· Regularly make quick decisions to keep STCH safely operational.

· Receive deliveries.

· Troubleshoot units to keep them operational afterhours.

· Contact correct supervisors when problems arise.

· First responder to Lab alarms and fire alarms at STCH.

· Competence in Honeywell Operational equipment, R&D testing, equipment instrumentation in a Research and Developmental atmosphere.

· Communicate and maintain Shell HSE policies and procedures that included Goal Zero and Life Saving Rules.

• · Operate Micro pilot plant (Xytel Hydro Treating Unit)
• · Focal Point (Communicate work between Shell and 12 Brown and Root employees).
• · Set flow rates and gas rates on units
• · Load Reactor tubes with Catalyst and Silicon Carbide to precise measurements
• · Adjust feed pumps to match operating rates
• · Start/Stop Feed Pumps
• · Operate HTE (High throughput Experiment) units (Hydro Treating)
• · Troubleshoot Units
• · Feed units with different types of feeds
• · Sample Units and switch sampling positions
• · Rebuild feed pumps
• · Drain waste tanks/Slop tanks.
• · Load Data from spreadsheets to HTE software.
• · Input Data from units and analytical results into spreadsheets for researchers.
• · Run Sulfur and Nitrogen analytics on Antek/Multitek
• · Calibrate Multitek.
• · Dilute analytical samples.
