Nicholas Prokop

I'm currently completing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology at the University of Mississippi and will be graduating this May. I'm actively pursuing a career in healthcare, specifically as a perfusionist, and am working toward completing prerequisites while gaining relevant patient care experience. Throughout my studies, I’ve balanced a demanding academic schedule and developed strong skills in critical thinking, time management, organization, and problem-solving.

During my time at the University of Mississippi, I’ve maintained a strong academic record while balancing multiple responsibilities, including rigorous science coursework and preparing for a healthcare career. I’ve successfully completed upper-level biology and psychology courses, which has strengthened my critical thinking and time management skills. One of my biggest accomplishments is proactively mapping out a path toward a competitive career in perfusion, including identifying and planning for prerequisites, gaining patient care experience, and exploring related medical fields as backup options.
