  • Lomita Sheriff Explorer Program, Whittier, CA, September 2010 - April 2012, Graduated from the Sheriff’s Explorer Academy in Whittier. Observed and participated in actual patrol and law enforcement operations. Received extensive training and actively participated in community affairs and hazardous and non-hazardous law enforcement activities. Duties included crowd control at civic events and parades, traffic direction, crime prevention programs, and countless other law enforcement functions.
  • Provided a helping hand to organizations that needed assistance with charity events including setting up tables, chairs, picking up trash, traffic control, parking guidance and direction. Participated in ride-a-longs with Sheriff deputies, which included assisting with administering tickets, responding to calls, setting up the police vehicle, and dealing with the public. Trained in scenarios that involved dealing with issues of a typical day of a Sheriff’s Deputy.
