Accomplishments

  • Advocacy: In June 2022, Nick participated in a protest outside the US capitol building advocating for the passage of the PACT Act bill to ensure veterans exposed to toxic burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan received more affordable healthcare. Through persistent efforts, the PACT Act passed both chambers of Congress and was signed into law by President Biden in the summer of 2022. Since then, over 1 million veterans have received disability compensation benefits, and the VA has delivered more than $6.8 billion in earned PACT Act benefits to veterans and their survivors.
  • Has met with Vice President Kamala Harris: In July 2023, Nick was personally invited to attend a Climate Change Investment Conference hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris, where he had the opportunity to meet with her and share his thoughts.
