  • Created and currently coach the Varsity Esports Team at Oyler School
  • Provide extracurricular activities, such as Theater, Esports, Chess, and Student Council for Junior High and High School students that maintain their involvement while working on learning skills that can be used in the future
  • Build meaningful relationships with students, staff and families while also helping facilitate events and meetings during the school days
  • Maintain and build relationships with outside partners such as the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, who help provide students with opportunities for involvement outside of the classroom
  • Take students to events such as the Anthony Muñoz Foundation: Youth Leadership Seminar, Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge, and the National Flight Academy in Pensacola, FL to help them learn valuable skills while gaining experiences that will help them after school
  • Maintain data and attendance numbers for all students involved in any extracurriculars outside of the classroom.

  • Assisted with Special Event Planning and execution to make sure the event is up to the standards necessary
  • Scheduled Health United Building Supervisors every two weeks and kept track of number of people in the building at specific times
  • Assisted with reservation intake and follow-up logistics to make sure the events were all set up and everything was to the groups needs/requirements
  • Went through the CPR certification process during this internship

Communications Intern

  • Wrote game recaps and conference stories that would be posted onto the conference website to promote players and programs
  • Play-by-Play voice for the Great Midwest Men's and Women's soccer conference tournament games on Stretch Network for fans to watch, listen and feel engaged
  • Inserted and updated the Great Midwest website by adding schedules, match-ups and records for teams and fans to see in one location
  • Edited and created football highlight reels through Adobe Premiere that would be put onto all social media handles for people to see the top plays from each team during the past week
  • Sat in on weekly conference staff meetings to discuss what the conference had planned for the week.

Video Production Intern

  • Created and edited promotional and highlight videos to be played at events and posted onto social media for people to see and learn what Special Olympics is about
  • Announced the track and field portion of the 50th Annual Summer Games in Terre Haute, IN
  • Created a PowerPoint for a 400+people award luncheon in June to recognize high achieving individuals, as well as helped run the event as a whole
  • One of 7 interns who planned and created a 3+ hour event at Plainfield High School for kids with disabilities to connect and interact with high performing high school athletes from across the country.
