Proficient in fetal monitoring, assisting with labor and delivery of infants including vaginal deliveries and circulating RN in the operating room for cesarean sections Neonatal resuscitation and care of infants I also have the role of charge and triage nurse I am proficient in IVs, medications administration, and assessments of mother and infant including mother's recovery, and post partum care This includes assisting with breastfeeding, and providing education on newborn care I also possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, ability to multi task, use time management and work as a team I am able to prioritize and respond in emergency situations I am empathetic, an active listener and a patient advocate I recognize and respond to emotional needs of patients and families during stressful or challenging situations
