• Completes abstraction process for Common Spirit Health including abstraction of cases into the required system Trauma One.

• Audit all trauma records collecting data about severity of injury and patient outcomes.

• Responsible for reviewing medical records to abstract information according to the standards of various regulatory and accreditation agencies NTDB, ITDX

• Performs timely abstraction to ensure compliance with standards.

• Completes edit checks and makes appropriate changes on a timely basis.

• Follow Common Spirits Health standards and to abstract all reportable cases.

• Assist with case follow-up as requested.

• Attend educational activities as approved by Manager and/or Director.

• Maintain clinical knowledge of various abstracted measures.

• Communicate in a timely manner with manager to achieve measure compliance.

• Submit data timely through the appropriate reporting system.

• Resolve errors resulting in the rejection of records from the data entry system.

• Participates in required continuing education programs and annual reorientation.

• Perform duties within legal and ethical regulations and guidelines.

• Level 3 & 4 Facility
• Collects required information for all injured trauma victims meeting inclusion criteria by reviewing multiple sources including medical records, EMS records, and various hospital software programs.
• Abstracts required data elements including basic patient demographics, clinical procedures, clinical and diagnostic results, etc. Enters data accurately related to trauma patient's history, diagnosis, therapy, and outcome.
• Uses scaling and scoring tools such as current International Classification of Diseases codes (ICD), Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) developed by the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM), and Injury Severity Score (ISS). Codes injuries and procedures for the database as required for clinical care, research, benchmarking, and accreditation. Ensures hospital remains compliant with all applicable standards as they relate the respective State registry, American College of Surgeons, National Trauma Data Bank, Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) and trauma center accreditation.
• Maintains the Trauma Registry database in compliance with state regulations and accreditation requirements. Assists team with documentation and management of the registry database as it relates to clinical research, benchmarking, and accreditation.
• Works as an integral part of the trauma quality and performance improvement program by contributing to identification of opportunities for improvement and/or areas of concern commensurate with the level of training/knowledge/experience.
• Works independently under limited supervision. This position functions at an assigned facility and has no budgetary responsibilities. Internal and external customers include physicians, clinical staff, facility employees, trauma team members and state and national agencies.
• Maximized use of available resources through effective prioritization and time management skills during high-pressure situations.

• Level 2 Facility
• Completes abstraction process for HCA Del Sol Medical Center including abstraction of cases into the required system Digital Innovation.
• Audit all trauma records collecting data about severity of injury and patient outcomes.
• Responsible for reviewing medical records to abstract information according to the standards of various regulatory and accreditation agencies NTDB, ITDX.
• Performs timely abstraction to ensure compliance with standards.

• Enrolls/maintains student demographic data in student information system and student cumulative folder and notifies appropriate district personnel.
• Collects all records and/or required documentation pertaining to student enrollment in accordance with district/state policy.
• Supervises collection of period attendance documents.
• Maintains attendance coding in student information system per period. Processes reports in accordance with district policy FL-2AR.
• Maintains records in accordance with district policy FL-2AR.
• Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to student attendance accounting.
• Processes attendance problems warning letters to parent/guardians.
• Maintains professional level of confidentiality concerning personnel and students.
• Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of SISD safety program.
• Supports goals and objectives of the school district and follow all district policies.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by appropriate supervisor.
• Provides optimal customer service to all students, employees, parents, community, members and any other stakeholders of the district.

• Instructional P.E. Aide for grade levels K-5
• Assist P.E. coaches with creating lesson plans, guiding students through the P.E. activity, assist with attendance and providing a safe environment for the students on a daily basis.

• Substitute teacher for all grade levels K-12
• Assist teacher with the lesson plans that have been assigned for the day, go over with the class, and guide the students to help complete the assignments with understanding the material.

• Dental Instructor:
• Teach, guide, and supervisor students to develop their skills as a dental assistant, including coverage of the school clinic dealing with patients while guiding students. Also proxy as the supervisor of the department when necessary.
• Externship Coordinator:
• HR liaison for students, placing students at sites to complete their externship as a requirement to completing the program.
• Interviewed students and worksites to insure the best fit between site and student to be equally beneficial for both parties, while developing the student’s skills to prepare them to work in the dental field.
• Mediated when necessary, resolved student and site issues as well as imposed all rules and regulations to insure proper work ethic for all parties.
• CPR Instructor:
• Teach CPR to health care providers and students.
