  • Assist with any needs in OR such as prepping and positioning.
  • Being aware of the sterile field.
  • Transport surgical specimens down to the lab multiple times throughout the day
  • Sterilizing surgical instruments and surgical scopes, transporting those instruments down to SPD after sterilization. Assist with turning over OR’s after surgery is complete.
  • Assist with intubation, getting monitors on the patients in OR, assisting with blocks, starting IV’s, stock anesthesia machines and ensure everything is clean and ready for the case.
  • Checking patient’s in prior to their procedures.
  • Preparing patients for tests
  • Running EKG tests on patient's prior & post surgery
