I was responsible for supervising all staff at the shelter, including the social workers. As a Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Case manager, I was responsible for managing documentation and coordination of all services to clients. I was also responsible for managing the crisis line as it relates to DV/SA calls.
As a research assistant I am responsible for collecting data from the research study. I educated the people within the community. I also collect bio and environmental samples.
I work with abused and neglected children in a residential setting. I am responsible for the staff I work with on my shift. I am required to monthly staff meetings and educational trainings. I ensure behavioral case plans are carried out.I work with clinical therapist and physicians as it relates to medication management.
As an Accessioner I was responsible for samples collected outside of the laboratory. Once sample was received, I would set samples for testing. I was also responsible for discarding tested samples and imputing data into the system.
I worked with physically and mentally challenged children in their families. I ensured case plans were carried out daily, I attended weekly staff meetings maintained accurate documentation and coordinate activities. I advocated at clinic, court and school appointments on behalf of the agency. I closely with a clinical therapist and psychiatrist educating children and their families on mental health medication adherence.
Implemented behavior management system plans, I also maintained the health and safety of the clients. I accompanied clients to doctor's appointments and school conferences. Independent living and job coaching, documented daily progress, and administered medications to clients in a residential setting was also a part of my duties.
Educating citizens on parking laws and the city of New Orleans ordinances; issued parking citations.
I recorded garbage tonnage quarterly; street cleaning and assist supervisor in writing reports; handling residential complaints as well. I transported workers to and from work sites; answer phones; light typing and filing.
