Summary

LCSW with over 7 years experience in mental health settings, working with diverse populations, youth/adolescents, families and groups. Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I have recently embarked on the journey of starting my own private practice with Rula, however still crave the experience of what it means to work with a team on site with other human beings. I believe its a necessary part of personal and professional development to expand your experiences through helping different populations. I interviewed with Passages Malibu directly out of graduate school in 2015 for a similar position and subsequently offered the position - I declined the offer due to accepting another job that better fit my needs at the time. I recall having a very pleasant experience with the interviewer and I'm excited by the prospect of getting a second chance of being part of your mission and purpose at Passages Malibu.

GAP IN WORK HISTORY

-Moved with partner in 2020 right before Covid due to partners job relocation.

-Family crisis due to Covid where I was main caretaker.

-Broke my finger and sustained back injury due to accident and as a result required occupational and physical therapy (medical records as proof upon request).

-Family member health crisis I was also tasked with managing.

Lastly, I am a firm believer that we all need time (if possible) to process, heal and take responsibility for our own well-being in order to show up as our best selves in the world - therefore I took some time to really process the pandemic and all subsequent events that followed in order to really be of use to my community once again.
