I have lived in South Dakota for about 2 and a half years and I have loved the experience of getting to know the area, especially through my employment here from working in Wall, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and my experience doing PCC work in Monument when I first moved here. I thank you for your time reading over my resume and hope to hear from you soon.
I started working PRN at Wall Ambulance and when the the OST ambulance service got taken over by IHS in September of 2021, it has become my full time job. The experience of working here has been great due to great coworkers and the atmosphere is professional and caring.
I have gained valuable experience working 911 EMS for the Oglala Sioux Tribe Ambulance service. I typically worked a 60 hour shift each week and we responded to approximately 15-20 911 calls each shift due to high call volume and limited resources. I have gained experiences ranging from assisting mothers in delivering babies to cardiac arrests, traumas, psychiatric, etc.
I started working at Monument Health as a PCC when I first moved to South Dakota. I enjoyed my time working on the 8th floor in med surg and enjoyed the experience of providing patient care from a nursing perspective. I had to quit this job because I had just started paramedic school at WDT and was also working full time at OST on the ambulance service.
