-Mock Trail at Christian Brothers High school. Participated as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior -1 hours/week, 23 weeks/year
We meet for practice after school on Tuesdays and during December and January two to three days a week. I have played the role of witness my freshman and junior year, the role of attorney my sophomore year, and both witness and attorney my senior year. Mock trial is a simulation of a court case. Every participating school gets the same trail information and from that information we have to build cases for both the defense and prosecution. Every role has to memorize a script, dress up nicely, and go against other schools in front of a real judge and about three attorneys who score each school to determine who wins. Freshman and senior year it was in person at the courthouse downtown and online on zoom sophomore and junior year. Attorneys prepare opening and closing statements, direct and cross witnesses, and provide a script for their witnesses. Witnesses have to memorize a script, learn their character's personal statement, and act like their character in front of the judge.

Junior
3 hours/week
Meeting were in the mornings before school for about a hour, for three days a week. At the meetings we would go over each subject and take practice tests. Later in the year we would have to prepare to give prepared and impromptu speeches to give for the competition. In February we took the competition tests online in the engineering room before school one day. There was a test for: economics, science, math, social studies, art, music, and language and literature. Then we had to go to Folsom to do the interview, prepared speech, and impromptu speech on a different day. It was a fun experience and I learned a lot from it from the basics of economic to how to take test in a efficient manner.

Community Service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Sacramento. I help at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church whenever I can and they need the help. I do this since my grandmother attends this church and she has made sure my sister and I are active in the social aspect of the church. I have attended events at the church for as long as I can remember and some of the things I have participated in is Greek dancing at the church and at competitions, Sunday school, playing volleyball for the church, taking Greek lessons, and volunteering as soon as became old enough to, so from about the seventh grade. I volunteer at the crab festivals, on baking days where we bake goods for the Greek food festival, helping out in the office, and working the food festival every year, along with any other miscellaneous opportunities they have.
