Nino D'Amico

Every year, the St. Rocco Society holds a 5 day feast that allows students to volunteer and help with the feast. I always worked the games from 5:00 PM to about 11:30 PM.

• Took and followed detailed directions from others.
• Worked in team environment to maintain high levels of productivity.
• Contributed to a positive work environment by maintaining a professional attitude and demonstrating respect for all individuals involved in the project.
• Strengthened interpersonal communication abilities through constant interaction with diverse populations during volunteering events.
• Gained operational knowledge and supported departmental needs.
• Helped program leadership with planning and fundraising responsibilities.
• Provided guidance to new volunteers, ensuring they felt welcomed, supported, and knowledgeable about their roles within the organization.
• Boosted team morale and productivity by consistently providing support and encouragement to fellow volunteers.

Over the summer and whenever I would have days off from school, I would always go to work with my father. This job consisted of:

• Carry materials (up to 100 lbs)
• Assist in the installation process of laying tile & marble.
• Brought materials and tools from trucks and storage facilities to work site locations and organized for expected needs.
• Gathered and disposed of worksite debris to remove safety hazards.
• Used variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Cleaned and maintained tools, equipment and worksites.
• Loaded and unloaded materials onto trucks and trailers.
• Loaded and unloaded materials and equipment onto and off construction sites.
• Followed instructions and safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
