Nissi Bishop

I am a passionate student of sociology, psychology, and social justice reform, driven by a personal understanding of law enforcement and its broader effects on marginalized communities. I am eager to learn about and strengthen my desire to reform a violent system through interning with the Policy Transparency Project. As someone who's favorite word has always been "why", I've continued this desire to understand the most minute details of policy, cases, interrogations, decisions, backgrounds, etc.. and then after consolidating those details to paint a full picture for myself and others. I am eager to see my community reconnect with their loved ones, prevent their loved ones from incarceration, and to finally feel safe physically and mentally.
