I come from a technical background full of maintenance and process analysis. Starting from a young age learning automotive skills with mechanic family members and friends, this pushed me to take interest in maintenance technology, CNC technology, robotics, and manual machining throughout high school and college. During school I was fascinated with our local GE Aviation facility and their diverse equipment and processes compared to other places in Ashe County, especially upon tours that were provided through schools for their students. This interest lead me to applying and working for Southern Industrial after college as a maintenance mechanic within GE Aviation's facilities. During these past 3 and 1/2 years, I have worked diligently to grow and learn more within the maintenance department alongside learning much about GE's processes by collaborating with their operators, engineers and leaders. I strive to be open minded, collaborative, and professional at my workplace while searching for opportunities to advance myself and my career wherever possible.
-I have enjoyed automotive restoration and maintenance for years, long before I had a driver's license. I especially am active during the warmer months during the year. It has always been a point of pride for me that is separate of my job despite still having connective tissue to my skill sets used in my career being hands on and technical. No different than my day job as a maintenance mechanic, I take pride in my hobby by wanting to understand processes and follow tolerances/specifications to maximize operation while also being able to troubleshoot and identify problems efficiently.
