Work History

CNC Laser Operator

NOLIN MILLING INC.
Dickens, IA
09.2024 - Current
  • My responsibilities are to ensure quality cuts and properly operate the cnc laser. I have crucial quality control of the parts that I cut to ensure a satisfactory product. I have also worked in the lining department where quality is a must and ensure the tile is aligned accordingly. If there is an issue with my laser, I am the one to correctly assess the issue and rectify the problem. Which are as follows, changing nozzle/gas, inspecting the head of the cutting equipment and repairing/replacing parts as needed, identifying problems with the chiller system/air compressor, etc.

CNC Laser Operator

Demco Mfg
Spencer, IA
03.2023 - 06.2024
  • My responsibilities as a laser operator, were to load certain sheets of metal depending on the grade and thickness of the material. I would load a desired program and start it and the machine would begin cutting. After it was complete I would inspect each part and unload the slat table. I would then delegate each part to certain pallets or tubs depending on, if it needed to go to the brake press, what kind of material it was, where it would need to go in the weld department, etc. I also had experience in the finish department. I was able to; build ladder racks, build air tanks for the trailers, put tires, fenders, and brackets on, etc.

CNC Lathe Operator

Rosenboom Machine and Tool
Spirit Lake, IA
01.2022 - 07.2022
  • My job priorities at Rosenboom was to make quality cylinders and keeping the tolerance within thousandths of an inch. I was required to check my work log to see what part request I had for the day. Then, I would either keep running the part from the day before, otherwise I would get my machine ready for setup. To do that I would turn the power off and get everything ready to swap, chucks, backstop, inserts, etc. Then when all boxes were checked I would select the proper program to run the part. I would load in my part and slowly begin operations. I specify slowly because I wanted to make sure the program and part I was running wouldn't cause a crash or malfunction. When the part was finished I checked it quite thoroughly for any discrepancies compared to the print. When everything looked like it was within the standard of the print I would run the part. Now depending on the part it was typically either 5 to 10 parts that I had to do another thorough inspection.

Production worker, later promoted to technician

Pure Fishing
Spirit Lake, IA
01.2021 - 01.2022
  • My responsibilities at Pure Fishing was to ensure good and quality product. I had worked in the gulp room during my time there. Now the operations in the gulp room was to run liquid bait into cryogenic molds, and take the molds out and inspect for any abnormalities. When I was promoted to technician the fine tuning of the injection of bait among other tasks became my responsibility. Now instead of someone else having to come over and inspect my machine I was now in charge. Including swapping the liquid bait in the back when the previous order had ran out. Changing the temperature of the mold. How much liquid bait was shot into the mold each time (avoiding over or underflow). Also doing changeovers which involved swapping the molds for a new type of bait.

Production Associate

MWI
Spencer, IA
04.2020 - 01.2021
  • My duties at MWI was to ensure the quality of the product being created, and it's efficiency. The machine I was running required at least two people and it's product was bubble foil wrap. The product is used to insulate buildings. It is laid upon roofs of a building to insulate. While I was working there I had also became job certified to operate a forklift.
