I have volunteered during the Welcome Home Ceremonies at the Badger Honor Flight. I have served refreshments and greeted those awaiting their Veteran's to return home. I have participated in the parades, holding American flags on the steps to respect the service of the Veterans who have participated in the Badger Honor Flight. I have also participated in the Fallen Soldier presentations to honor those Veterans who have served.
I serve in an usher team for our church. I ensure that members of the church are welcomed when entering the church and or sanctuary. I assist in collecting tithes and offering, which contribute to the financial stability of the church under the direction of an usher team lead and Pastors of the church. I count the attendance of the members as data for records of the church to be utilized in future worship services.
I have been teaching Sunday School for the past 3 years. I mentor students from Prekindergarten until Fourth Grade. I collaborate with the other Sunday School teachers in my team to collaborate in lesson teaching, games and music under the direction of the Pastors. I share my own personal faith and life experiences with the students I teach. I mentor and inspire youth to continue to grow their faith.
I have team leading and mentoring Vacation Bible School students for 3 years. I provide encouragement and mentoring to students participating. I ensure that the group of students work together and promote positive behaviors. I work collaboratively with other Vacation Bible School Teachers and Pastors to provide support and instruction.
I crossed over to Troop 167 from Cub Scouts in 2/2018. My current rank is Life Scout. I am preparing for my Eagle Scout. I have held many positions of leadership in Scouts including Troop Quartermaster, Troop Guide and Troop Scribe. In my Patrol, I have also held many positions including, Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader and Quartermaster. I developed skills in leadership, mentoring, camping, hiking, swimming. I have earned 37 merit badges, including 10 Eagle Merit Badges. I have earned my Eagle swimming merit badge and kayaking merit badge. I will be attending this year's Summer Camp and will earn my canoeing merit badge.
I have assisted in 10 Eagle Scout Service Projects to assist fellow Scouts who are working on earning their Eagle Scout. I am currently in the planning stages of my Eagle Project with the projected timeframe of Fall 2024.
I joined Cub Scouts after my kindergarten year. I was able to obtain my Arrow of Light, which is the highest award earned before crossing over to Boy Scouts. I developed skills in communication, leadership, camping, cooking and safety. I also earned my recruiter badge for encouraging a new Scout to join our Pack.
Swimming- I was in the SwimWest program and obtained the highest level of Dolphin
Lifeguard- I took the American Red Cross Course and passed my written exam
Mentoring- I have mentored students in Vacation Bible School and Sunday School
Excellent Communication Skills- I have earned both the Communications Eagle Scout Merit Badge and the Public Speaking Merit Badge
